Marijuana group’s case dismissed

COLUMBUS — A state panel on Thursday  dismissed a case alleging that people involved with the organization believed to be the most likely to get a marijuana question on the November ballot conspired to undermine another effort.

Because neither has yet been certified for the ballot, the Ohio Elections Commission determined it didn’t have jurisdiction to get involved.

“ResponsibleOhio was successful in infiltrating and disrupting the organization,” said attorney Tricia Sprankle, who said operation of the competing Ohio Rights Group overlapped with early efforts to establish the newer group.
